  1. Quick instructions for fixing the "Run-time Error 31037" error.
  2.  
  3. 1. Copy both the files "REGSVR.EXE" and "COMDLG16.OCX" (Which you just
  4.    received as an attachment to your E-Mail or just downloaded) into the
  5.    C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM folder.
  6. 2. To Associate .OCX extention with program REGSVR.EXE
  7.  
  8.    - Run Windows Explorer, click View|Options, select the tab 'File Types'
  9.  
  10.    - Click 'New Type', which will take you to the "Add New File Type"
  11.      dialog.
  12.  
  13.    - In the 'Description of type' box type in 'OCX' (no quotes).
  14.      In the 'Associated extention' box type in '.OCX' (no quotes).
  15.  
  16.    - Further down, look for the 'New' button and click on it, which will
  17.      take you to the "New Action" dialog.
  18.  
  19.    - In the 'Action' box type in 'open' (no quotes). Then click on
  20.      'browse...' and browse your way to the C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM folder to
  21.      find and select "regsrv.exe".
  22.  
  23.    - Ok all dialogs to exit <whew!>

  25. 4. Still in Explorer, find the "COMDLG16.OCX" file in C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM
  26.    folder and double click on it. A dialog should pop-up with a message
  27.    saying "DllRegisterServer succeeded".
